Before the flames even START coming in, let me rephrase one thing in my
posting about what would be in a PE for software engineering.

I said something to the effect of "does the PE exam for electrical
engineering *still* include power engineering stuff".  In the shower
this morning it suddenly occurred to me that this can be read as saying
"power engineering is no longer part of EE" which isn't what I meant at
all.

What I meant instead would be something like "is it possible to take a
PE in EE even though one has had all EE education in
computer-engineering topics, and not in power engineering at all?"

NOW, if the power engineers out there want to flame me, I'll try to
take it like a mensch.
