I used to work with MS_dos (messy dos) in an earlier life. One of the few things I *did* like was a program called 'ced' (Commandline EDitor). Used on top of command.com, it has a very friendly stack-history mechanism, powerfull commandline editing, aliases, automatic default parameter substitution, 'remembering' of parameters, etc. Anyway, a lot better than Csh. Is there something like this available for UNIX? a special Csh extension? Thanks. -- Michiel Steltman hp4nl!wmt!mist +-----------------------------+ Westmount Technology B.V. | Phone: +31 15 610815 | Poortweg 8, 2612 PA Delft | Fax: +31 15 565701 | The Netherlands +-----------------------------+
