Keywords: Amax, Hard drive, need soon Message-ID: <14290@boulder.Colorado.EDU> Date: 28 Nov 89 15:20:39 GMT Sender: news@boulder.Colorado.EDU Reply-To: wilde@tigger.colorado.edu (Nick Wilde) Organization: University of Colorado, Boulder Lines: 20 Anybody heard any rumors / have any idea / have a clue at all when we can expect to see a version of Amax that supports a hard drive ? My 2000 is gathering dust at home while I pound the keys on the Mac II's here at school. Not my choice - But that's life. Without hard drive support, Amax is not much more than an admirable hack and a fun toy. Most of the packages I need to run require a hard drive (there's just not much you can do if the program your'e running takes 800 of an 880 k disk :)). WITH hard drive support, I could have my Amy and get some work done too !! It's gotten bad enough that unless I have hope of seeing a new version of Amax soon, I may have to seriousely consider (gasp !) dumping the Amiga and buying an overpriced Mac-in-toy to get some work done on :(. -nick wilde (wilde@tigger.colorado.edu)
