Now the big question is, which > one? > So far, best 'bang for your buck' drive I have found, is from Ehman. > They even have a special 'Users Group' pricing, which is: A guy in my user group was talking (this past summer) about his bad experience with Ehman. Apparantly, they claimed their drives were compatible with all IIgs w/Apple's SCSI card, but the drive he received didn't work with his IIgs. It didn't work with the dealer's IIgs, nor his friend's. He sent it back in and a few months later received another one which didn't work. He returned it and after much hassle and many toll phone calls received his money back. (BTW, the drives worked flawlessly with Macs...) One of his techie friends thought it was some kind of problem with the drive being improperly terminated. I was kind of disappointed, 'cause I was shopping for a hard drive and thought that Ehman's drives looked like real bargains. I finally got a 40 meg Vulcan from AE and am satisfied 'cept for the lack of space. :-) _________________________________________________________ | | | Eric Merrill tippy!emerrill@newton.physics.purdue.edu | | | | My other witty .sig is in the shop being repaired. | |_________________________________________________________|
