    I agree that Analog should have published some sort of info regarding
  their demise, as from the information I've read they knew when the November
  issue came out.  In addition, The old Analog may have been hurting for 
  advertisements, but in the combined Analog/Stlog the ads were plentiful.
  Who knows, Maybe they're reconsidering not stopping publication.  But
  there are confirmations on Delphi (as of a couple weeks ago) stating that
  the December issue would be the final Analog.
