You haven't given us enough information so that we can help you.  Where is
the "can't access service" message coming from?  Are you using autodial or
manual dialing?  Which comm program(s), if any, have you tried?
What is your Modem setup (from the Set-up screen)?

If it appears that your computer can't access the modem, you should try running
the Rainbow diagnostic to check out your comm port.  They have been known
to go bad.

There's been a discussion on one of the local BBSes of a speedup device for
the PC, called PC-Sprint.  This is an $80 hardware unit that goes under the
clock oscillator and speeds up the rate to 12MHz.  Users report that it works.

Has anybody considered or tried using such a device in the Rainbow?
