I've made a few postings to this group before ... I'm new to the HP environment. I'm working with the 3000 systems (micro gx at the moment) running MPE. I've been getting into Speedware and dabbling with the Today language. I'm curious as to how others feel about these languages. They're 4GL's and each has interesting features. From what I've seen of the Today language, I wouldn't say I'd use it if I could. Being a menu-driven programming environment .. it lacks some contemporary programming features .... Speedware, on the other hand, has more flexibility environment wise. We usually edit the files on our pc's and upload the source to the hp with reflections. Maintaining the source on the hp is a little cumbersome considering the editors that are available. So ... any others using this?? BTW: Anyone have some kind of UUCP software for this machine, or am I going to have to use our Xenix systems? Thanks for any info ...
