Summary: Want to access WORM drive on another machine via 19.2Kbps link Keywords: remote disk WORM optical serial Message-ID: <14324@boulder.Colorado.EDU> Date: 29 Nov 89 03:44:13 GMT Sender: news@boulder.Colorado.EDU Reply-To: loughry@tramp.Colorado.EDU (J. Loughry) Organization: University of Colorado, Boulder Lines: 15 References: Does anyone know of a remote disk program that will let us access a WORM drive on another machine (about 200 miles away) as if it were a local drive? The data is constantly being updated, and the only alternative is to physically ship the disk back and forth every day. We have a 19.2Kbps link we can use, and speed is not critical. We just need to be able to view files. Basically, we need a looooooong, thin LAN. :-) Is this easy to do? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Joe Loughry Araphahoe Library District | | loughry@tramp.colorado.edu -/- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
