I have been following this thread for some time and have to
admit that I am puzzled.  I have been using BlackBox 1.5
for a few weeks now and have never had a problem.  I am
using a Mac IIcx with a Radius Two Page display and litterally
dozens of other inits.  The one thing I discovered was that
I had to turn off all of the Radius's special screen handling
features (like large menu fonts).  But I have had not problems
that were attributible to Black Box.
