I don't know the details, but I would assume documents are documents:
e.g. the number of bits that have to get shoved down the network is 
the same, roughly independant of the printers. And since the ImageWriters
are so slow, they can all be running at full-tilt and still the network 
will be waiting on the printer.

The above doesn't account for the overhead that each individual device
inposes on the net.
