Well, I've now been offered a competitive price on a IIx. Is there any difference between these two machines (besides the obvious: 6 slots)? If so, what? Things like: socketed vs. unsocketed chips; ROM on SIMM or soldered or socketed; relative speed; expandability (not by slots, but by chip/board swaps); power supply robustness; durability; etc. come to mind.
