I must agree with David, I love my ci.  However, it is not
completely compatible with older software (older being 6 months or
so :-)
 
I too run Excel, and Word.  I can also run Claris CAD, MacDraw II
1.1, Smartcomm II 3.1, MPW (though there seems to be a problem with
Projector), Turbo Pascal 1.1 (believe it or not), Moria, Pirates,
Strategic Conquest (screwy memory management and all), Wingz 1.0,
MacWrite 5.0, DigSim, LogiMac, Frame-Mac, Math21, Digital Darkroom
(as long as I stay away from the gray menu item), Freehand 2.0,
FileMaker II, Fastback II 2.0, TOPS 2.1, PSN, and probably one or
two other ones that I can't think of at the moment.
 
However, there are some serious problems.
*Major* problems!  I can't run Falcon 2.0.  It is concievable that
the world could end because of this :-)
Nor will Mazewars+ run.  Cricket Graph 1.3 (and 1.0) dies the hard
death immediately.  So do Harrier Strike Mission II and Hunt for
Red October.  Microsoft's FORTRAN also refuses to run.  My copy is
version 2.1 and Microsoft hasn't bothered to tell me if there is
any later version - but then, their tech support was miserable, so
I'm not surprised.  Hell, they don't even bother to tell me about
the Word updates anymore!
 
Oh, and I am having some problems with MPW Pascal compiles.  It
compiles, but code that worked in Turbo now bombs in MPW.  I'm
working on it...
