I had the same problem with Strategic Conquest beating me at Level 1, and
decided that it couldn't handle being run on a Mac+ with the DS drive. I
was really pissed off at that method of copy protection, since all it does
is make people think the game is stupid, since they have no idea if it is
the copy protection kicking in or not. Now that I'm thinking of it, I think
I'll go find my disk and patch around the copy protection, if I can find it.
