It wasn't cheap, so if you use your thunderscan adapter you'll be better off. Incidentally, when I ordered it, the salesman said that the adapter's were originally designed for Coleco's Adam computer. Apparently, what Impulse does is take your MacNifty, and splice in this Adam power supply. The power supply is rather heavy, although the heavy part mounts on the wall socket.
