Good point. I was just making the comment in my original posting that *for all practical purposes* I never have had to worry about VersaTerm timing out. Now it may quite well be that if you push it to the limits it'll mess up. My main point was that -- while far from perfect -- the current Mac implementation of multitasking is pretty good.
