What I would like would be a small, easily programmable thingy that would perform low-speed transfers to and from several parallel ports and communicate with the Sun through the serial port. Clearly, some kind of small PC with a bunch of parallel ports would do the trick. I need one that has enough ports (32 bits), is cheap, and is easily programmable. Any ideas?
