If I study at Brown and have to pay for school and living 30000$ a year, then do you think I will go and pay a dealer his living? If I earn my living with the use of my computer and software, then I should let live others, i.e. dealers. But if I have only to pay, in order just to get a good education then NEVER DO I EVEN THINK OF SUPPORTING A DEALER WITH A SINGLE CENT! You should be happy with these sales, because it builds up the customer base of the next generation. Besides that, there are agreements concearning support. Why, please, do you think do students have to pay 7000$ + sales tax for a NeXT which sells for 6500$ to the university, if not for support? In a time when the cost of a good education skyrocket, it is COMPLETELY OUT OF PLACE to rally against student rabbates? After all, it is the industry and the bussinesses which need qualified employees. If you want to ruin the US economics, then just go on in this direction. You can be sure that in a few years you will have to pay much more for the education of your employees than you loose with sales because of student rabbates. I advise anyone never to buy stuff at your place!
