I, too, have had problems with files disappearing after being sent to a
Postscript printer.  I think it may be a bug in Transcript, since the
problem is quite predictable.  Any file that has a formfeed as the very
first character of the file gets printed as a single blank page.  After
deleting the leading Control-L, the file printed with no problems.
