Keywords: need to know Message-ID: <725@sjfc.UUCP> Date: 29 Nov 89 02:36:23 GMT Distribution: usa Organization: St. John Fisher College, Rochester, NY Lines: 19 Hello- Well, we have the xwindows software for our vax 11/785 running BSD 4.3, but no bitmapped terminals to run it on. Can someone provide the names and numbers of dealers (mail order OK!) or companies that make new (or have used) bit mapped dumb terminals that would be able to run xwindows? While at Bellcore this summer, we had a few AT&T yellow bitmapped page (~8.5 by 14in) screen terminals that handled xwindows well. They looked very cheap, but very old. We will probably get just one for next semester, to test the xwindows program and to see what the administration thinks about it. So, please E-MAIL your responses quickly so we can possibly have one in place by the beginning of the spring semester. --Ken Staggers Chief UNIX Lab Assistant St John Fisher College (..!rutgers!rochester!cci632!sjfc!kes3200) Brought to you by Super Global Mega Corp .com
