Keywords: C-Kermit, UUCP, lock files Message-ID: <1009@dutrun.UUCP> Date: 29 Nov 89 20:54:34 GMT Reply-To: ge@dutlru2.tudelft.nl (Ge van Geldorp) Organization: Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands Lines: 17 I pulled the beta-test version of C-Kermit 4F from Columbia University. The Makefile of this version has 3 entries for AIX: AIX PC/RT 2.1, AIX PC/RT 2.2 and AIX PS/2 1.0. I'm about to add an entry for AIX PS/2 1.1... This seems a little bit silly to me. I'd say one AIX entry should suffice. The differences are mainly in the location of the lock files, used to obtain exclusive access to outgoing terminal lines. I know that AIX PC/RT 2.2.1 and AIX PS/2 1.1 keep those lock files in /etc/locks. (Well, at least that's the place where `pdelay'ed ports build lock files). I don't have access to systems running AIX PC/RT 2.1 or AIX PS/2 1.0. Could somebody who has access to those systems please tell me if the lock files for those systems are also kept in /etc/locks? Thanks. Ge van Geldorp ge@dutlru2.tudelft.nl ...!uunet!hp4nl!dutlru2.tudelft.nl!ge
