The majority of these files are input data files and Fortran source code (i.e., filename.f). Therefore, I am concerned with only these two types of files. These files now reside on the SUN's and the UNIX operating system. However, they are in VMS format. My question: is there any existing documentation( i.e., books, software packages, journal articles, helpful hints, etc) that exist in the public domain which might provide valuable insights in doing the conversion, since I have approximately 1500 VAX/VMS files. I do not have the capability to read the bulletin board, therefore I will give my e-mail address: ARPA: mittu@itd.nrl.navy.mil UUCP: {backbone}!uunet! nrl-css!mittu Thank You Ranjeev Mittu Naval Research Laboratory Washington D.C., 20375 (202) 404-7250
