I'll go further than brother Jeff Michaud...  I believe that there is a
very very good chance that /usr/tmp is protected wrong.

Why?  Seem the same error and that was the problem...  You know...
Argument too large :-)  (Don't ask me why that is the error message!
Jeff needs to explain that! :-) )
