The UNIX "gurus" are flaming the VMS "wizards", and vice verse, but all to no avail. If you want to discuss the deficiencies of UNIX (as compared to VMS ;-)), take it to comp.unix.wizards, where you may get some useful information. There are at least two ways of responding to someone who is obviously wrong: 1) Tell him he is wrong -> this might get you flamed. 2) Smile and nod your head, then go home and have a good laugh.
