This will be a great opportunity to test the interoperability of your clients with X servers from a number of different vendors. Where else can you talk with a vendor's X developer about the problems you're having with their server/clients, then proceed to fix the code and test it right away? This is a development event, not a Trade Show!!! We expect developers to bring their most recent implementations under development and test them. If something's wrong, fix it and keep on testing. Connectathon is entering its fifth year. It started out as a way to test interoperability of different vendors versions of NFS, last year we added windows. We had 51 NFS and 27 windows vendors. We will still have our NxN testing of X servers with clients, but we're expecting a dramatic increase in the number application vendors this year. If you have an application that you would like tested, but can't attend, we'll have file servers set up so developers can test and relay their comments back to you. When: Feb 14-22, 1990 (registration and pre-testing Feb 6-13) Where: San Mateo Expo Center, California (near San Francisco Airport) For more information, please send mail to cthon@sun.com.
