Hello netlanders,

I've just started using GNU emacs under VMS. Everything works fine except:
for some strange reason, whenever I try to use one of the cursor keys,
letters appear on the screen instead of cursor movement. I've tried this
with many different terminal emulators.
Is there something I can put in .emacs to rectify this?
