Lines: 24 I am porting GCC version 1.35 to an Acorn R140 Unix workstation. This is based on the Acorn Risc Machine (ARM) processor. I have run up against a major difficulty. I need to tell the compiler to put data into the data section of the assembler file and then generate an indirect reference to it via a label positioned less than 4096 bytes from the load instruction. This is due to the ARMs limitation on addressing and immediate constants. Can anyone give me some advice on how to achieve this? I would appreciate any help as this is the major thing holding me up at the moment. Thanks Doug Clinton ps This is my first ever posting to Usenet so I hope I did everything correctly! -- Automatic Disclaimer: The views expressed above are those of the author alone and may not represent the views of the IBM PC User Group.
