   We run B-news 2.11.17. When I arrived this morning, I found the news
system completely screwed up, the active file having been deleted. This
appears to have been done by expire. I eventually managed to create a
correct active file by means of a script that examined the directories,
but would prefer not to have to do so again.

   Has anyone else seen this behaviour?
