The proverbial what the heck rn question. 

I'm trying to get rn running on a sun 386i 4.0.2.
I've got bnews 2.11 and the rn is patch level 39.
When I do a search of newsgroups(/?) without specifying a search
pattern I generate a SIGSEGV and exit.  This is because the char *
in the reg. exp. struct (COMEX) is not allocated soon enough.
So is this a documented bug, with a fix? anybody seen it? am i doing
something wrong? 

any help would be appreciated.
