Lines: 13 Several people have pointed out that my proposal was flawed; the right thing to do is 14 Nov 89 16:30:44 -0800 where the date is the LOCAL time. If the offset is missing, it's GMT. On systems where this breaks getdate, you'll have to elide anything past the time. That's a problem. The other problem is that this is probably not backwards compatable. I suspect it'll have to be an X-Local-Date: until we have a flag day, which I don't see happening. There's too much news software out there that wouldn't cope if we just did it. - Brian
