- The date on our machine got set to March 1990 for 24 to 36 hours.

- All the news that came in during that time got sent to "junk"

- I deleted (rm *) all the news in the "junk" directory

- 6000 articles still appear in the history file as appearing in "junk"

- How do I "expire" all the news in the group junk that has a date
  of March 1990 to correct the history file?

- I tried all sorts of combinations of options to "expire" with no luck.
