Actually, REAL birders forget their field guides in their cars after
walking a half mile to a stakeout, and then are too lazy/sleepy/confident 
to walk back and get it.  If they had it, of course, they would be too
embarrassed to actually peruse it in front of all the other REAL birders 
that are there as well.
