If anyone has seen any pertinent stuff, please send me e-mail. For those who don't know, Australia sanctions the killing of thousands of cockatoos each year. The reason is destruction of crops by massive flocks of the birds (especially galahs, citrons, sulfur crests, corellas) descending on a field and laying it waste within a very short period of time. The Australian government (like the U.S. gov't) does not allow the exportation of native birds (usually) so efforts by aviculturists to have them exported as breeding stock have been rejected. I'm looking for both points of view to send to him. The article is being considered for publication, so all information would be greatly appreciated.
