Sci. Dept., Strathclyde Univ., Scotland. Lines: 21 I'm trying to build some sort of Teletext capture and decode circuit on a MultiBus board for use with our UNIX network. However I'm having problems finding any ICs that will simplify the job. Does anyone know anything about the signetics chips: SAA5020, SAA5030, SAA5040, They've been discontinued but I know a supplier who has them. Anyone know if they provide some means of processor interface? Are they IIC controlled? I know Plessey do a chip set. Has anyone used it before - any comments welcome.. Finally, how do you talk to an IIC interface? Are there any chips for providing a processor interface to this. Any advice, comments, data would be very welcome.
