I agree with this guy 100% (maybe this explains the parallel universe theories?) One thing as a followup. There was an interview in Omni mag. a little while back titled 'Interview with Hans Moravec'. In this article Mr. Moravec describes a future world where we humans have evolved beyond our organic selves to a robotic physical self, being able to mechanically clone our brain/thoughts, etc... He goes on to say that we, in our new physical form, would possibly maintiain the old organic form of ourselves as mere pets. "Little Johnny-bot, go feed your humans. Their bowl has been empty for days. And how long has it been since you changed their water?" Hans Moravec has a book entitled 'Mind Children: The Future of Robot and Human Intelligence' that goes into more detail on his thoughts. I haven't read it yet, but plan to...
