I would like to suggest a slight rewording of this as none of us dare trust his own mind when it comes to knowing what exactly is true. I would agree if we define what we know to be true by what the Scriptures say. We should always test everything that we are told, and even everything that we come up with in our own minds, by checking to see if it is consistent with what God has told us in the Bible. Acts 17:11 says "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.".
