Just a side note, I forgot to mention a good reference on the "Speech Processing Technology". AT&T Technical Journal "Speech Processing Technology" September/October 1986, Volume 65, Issue 5 Order back issues from : AT&T Customer Information Center (CIC), PO Box 19901 Indianapolis, IN 46219 or by calling (800) 432-6600. I believe they are ~$8.50 for back issues. Note the journal is very technical, although some of the information may be outdated, a lot of the technology is still the same. The entire issue is dedicated to speech technology, and one article "Speech Processing for AT&T Workstations" speaks about the Voice Power Product on the UNIX PC (pictures and all) Again the information on the DSP20 (the digital sound processor on the VP board) is proprietary, although they have an article on the newer version the DSP32. Standard Disclaimer applies (I have no affiliation with AT&T, AT&T Technical Journal, or Voice Power for that matter ...) -Lenny -- | Lenny Tropiano ICUS Software Systems [w] +1 (516) 589-7930 | | lenny@icus.islp.ny.us Telex; 154232428 ICUS [h] +1 (516) 968-8576 | | {ames, pacbell, decuac, hombre, sbcs, attctc}!icus!lenny attmail!icus!lenny | +------- ICUS Software Systems -- PO Box 1; Islip Terrace, NY 11752 -------+ Brought to you by Super Global Mega Corp .com
