Keywords: modem driver, copy Message-ID: <1019@ac.dal.ca> Date: 12 Dec 89 14:02:21 GMT Lines: 20 Organisation: Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada I should first point out what an _incredible_ relief it is to finally find the support for my //e I've always heard about. Needless to say, I'm new to the network. I've been looking for a variety of routines which, to date, I haven't found in the public domain. I was wondering if anyone knows of: (1) a ProDOS-8 COPY routine (to run on a 128K unextended //e) preferably in the form of a patch -- maybe over some less- used ProDOS commands in BASIC.SYSTEM, or as an &-vector. (2) a decent ProDOS-8 driver for the Hayes-AT command set, with GetKey, GetLine, wordwrap and NoEcho functions. Last question: I notice a lot of files go flying by in this NewsGroup; I see things like (763 lines) but can't read them. I gather they're bits of binary code -- how do I access them? Do I require certain priviledges, or is there a NEWS command I can use? Thanks. Markum.
