	I would appreciate it if any one would give me suggestions
	on books or papers about performance evaluation, performance
	tuning on database systems .  We have the abilities to modify
	unix kernel and we plan to modify the unix kernel to improve 
	the performance of RDBMS on a multiprocessors machine. Any 
	related books or papers will be appreciated.
