Can anyone out there tell me of a book which gives a specification of
the information transmitted by IBM-PC compatible serial mice? If the
specification is straightforward, please would you mail it to me?

Is there a standard baud rate? As far as I can tell, a serial mouse
transmits packets of a few characters a few times a second. I'm told
that there are two mouse standards: the PC mouse standard, and the
MicroSoft standard. Are these standards for the transmitted packets,
or are they for a higher level?
