Message-ID: <0G-R2|@rpi.edu> Date: 9 Dec 89 22:12:05 GMT References: <4419@helios.ee.lbl.gov> Organization: Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy NY Lines: 5 OS/2's "COM" files are just standard "new-EXE" files with the name COM on the end. I believe the same is true of several of the standard DOS utilities in DOS 3.3 and 4.0 (EXE files disguised as COM files). I think the reasons are mostly historical. --Mike Primm
