Hello Amigoids across the U.S.

Can someone tell me something about a file format known as "DIF", which
I believe stands for 'data interchange format' or something like that.

The financial program PHASAR can write a file in this format, but I want
to read the data into MAXIPLAN which does not understand DIF.  

I would like to write a little conversion program to mung DIF files 
into a file of tab-separated fields that MAXIPLAN can understand.  

Anybody know whats da deal wif dis DIF format?  Tanks.

(Anybody who wants to share with me their experience with transferring data
 from PHASAR to MAXIPLAN 500 is welcome....)
