I have built a 2 drive amiga external setup using NEC (ibm...) 3.5 drives.
The trick to get disk change to work is setting a jumper on the drive.
If I remember correctly, I had to solder a wire jumper in one place...
I can find out the exact jumper if it's not obvious. (the setup is at home...)
