I though that was the principle idea behind the notesfile: to make a form of communication accessible by all. FTPing that large thing would only have transferred the traffic to another place, i.e. taking up 300k of some site's diskspace, and also causing an influx of users wanting to FTP it. Is there a "legal" size limit to files? I doubt there is considering the fact that I've seen some hayooge things come across, e.g. the recent (sort of) Nucleus Demo post (almost twice the size of the ACS Demo.) I think limiting it goes against the file policy. I dunno, I only _want_ to run the notesfile... ;-) Ken. ken-b@uiuc.edu
