The cheapest I've found 256K x 1 150ns chips for $3.25. But I was wondering, instead of buying 8 256K x1 chips could I get 2 256K x 4 chips. The price is a little bit higher but I would be able to fit more of the chips in the board. Has anyone ever done such a thing? What speeds should I be looking at? Any help would be appreciated.
