There is a bug in Ultrix 3.1 on the DECstation which causes it to drop packets; Ray Lanza uncovered this bug in UEG a month or two ago during some performance analysis. Interesting enough, it is not in the ethernet driver.... This will be fixed in the next release, and then your DECstations should be able to melt the wire, if your other end can keep up.... Thanks for reporting it in any case, though if you send a formal bug report, it is much harder for Digital to forget, lose, or ignore problems. As these can be sent in electronically these days, (if you don't require formal response), I don't think this is too very much to ask... - Jim
