RE: PRINTING FROM WITHIN LA100 FONTS (2 messages) Articles posted to either INFO-DEC-MICRO or comp.sys.dec.micro are currently gatewayed automatically to the Rainbow Echo on Fidonet; thus, you do not need to take any special action to respond to articles in these digests. Please send reports of problems or suggestions for improvement of this digest to GTHEALL@PENNDRLS.UPENN.EDU (ARPA Internet). ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Date: 12-04-89 (16:20) To: GEORGE THEALL Subject: PARKING THE HARD DISK From: AMER NELSON The program I use is BYE which should be readily available from most BBSs. If I'm not mistaken AUTOPARK is a TSR program and I don't trust ANY TSR program -- I have a clock on the wall and an el cheapo four function calculator at hand. If I'm running WINDOWS of course I have access to all sorts of goodies. I just don't like to have to worry about a TSR program interfering with something else I'm trying to run. ++ Amer ++ --- * Origin: Glacier Peak Rainbow, Bellevue, WA - 206/644-8431 (Opus 1:343/3) ------------------------------ Date: 12-04-89 (16:36) To: ALL Subject: OF DEADBEATS, MONEY AND P From: AMER NELSON The controversy has been stimulating. Enter newcomer Theall objecting to my wanting to Mr Bournstein, I would appreciate to know who these two mysterious dealers I supposedly stiffed were? The only other thing for the rainbow that I have EVER purchased mailorder was an adaptor board from a private party in colorado, Which I payed for COD. Your message WILL be forwarded to my legal Counsel, and since I have never dealt with anyone but you and the person I got the adaptor board from You'll probably be hearing from him about libel and or slander (whichever is applicable) --- * Origin: Glacier Peak Rainbow, Bellevue, WA - 206/644-8431 (Opus 1:343/3) ------------------------------ Date: 12-04-89 (21:31) To: MARK BORNSTEIN Subject: RE: NOT ENOUGH !! Hmm, they can definitely come in quite handy. With SwitchIt/Desk, for example, there's a cut and paste utility that resides along with the other stuff in memory. Lots of times, when responding to email it's much simpler to cut the person's email address out of the original message and paste it into the response. Since the mailer on the VM/CMS mainframe I use does not have a reply function, this TSR comes it *very* useful. It virtually eliminates typos, too. Does this mean, Frank, that articles from USENET newsgroups can be *automatically* forwarded to an Echo? And vice versa? As you know, I've been doing this manually. I don't think I've missed any messages so far, but an automatic system would be much better. Do you also have access to UUCP or some other net? If so, perhaps we could discuss this further via private mail. I can be reached as GTHEALL@PENNDRLS.UPENN.EDU if the mailer at that site understands domain-style addressing.
