My favourite implementation of Kermit for the Rainbow is v2.29.1 dated Jul 4, 1986. It's a special version for the Rainbow, takes advantage of its fast-video capabilities, allows on-the-fly key definitions (quite useful for repetitive typing!!!), *and* offers VT220 emulation. Look for it in the INFO-DEC-MICRO archives as KER229A.ZIP in directory [.INFO-DEC-MICRO.COMM]. You can also get this directly from the folks at Columbia who coordinate the various implementations of Kermit. You can order it via BITNET, on RX50's, or get it with anonymous FTP.
