After about an hour, the window would simply disappear. Ha, at least three people suggested I check if csh is the shell in use. (It was. I didn't think of that originally.) A common suggestions was: > This may not be the solution, but I'll mention it anyway: is the window > running csh? If so, what is the autologout timer set for? The default > is 1 hour.
