I have an old Compaq Portable computer that is crammed with add-in cards! I need to add more. I am thinking maybe I can just buy ribbon cable and run it to an external board that has more expansion slots. I know that I will need to add a new power supply somewhere. Questions: - Can I actually simply wire more expansion slots to the original set? - If so, how and where do I connect the second power supply (i.e. how do I wire it to the extended portion of the I/O channel) Any help I can get is welcome! Please E-mail any responses as I am a student and have little time to check hundreds of messages on this news net. Thanks alot! - Kevin Kahl :-) dstr012@ucscg.UCSC.EDU
