Message-ID: <14902@merrimack.edu> Date: 8 Dec 89 16:57:52 GMT Organization: Merrimack College, No. Andover, MA Lines: 17 I'm thinking about getting a CD drive but I have no idea which one or whether I should bother. Does anyone know about this? I have seen drives advertised as true read/write (i.e; write more than once). Do they really work? Can anyone suggest a drive for me which is a frialy good compromise of price/quality? Do they plug into the drive controller card or do they need their own? Also, what is available referencewise? I have heard it rumoured that one could get the Oxford English Dictionary, the Bible, Shakespeare's plays, encyclopedias, etc. Is this stuff out, and where do I get it? Thanks a lot, I'd like to have one but don't want to spend a lot of money on soemthing I can't use that much. Thanks! -- Douglas D. Linder, Merrimack College, N.
